This past year has drastically changed the way we live. Many of the essential aspects of our professional, familial, and social relationships have been altered in ways we previously never thought possible. For many of us watching the news felt like an impending apocalypse was right at our doorsteps and life would never go back to the way, we had once known it to be. Our world was engulfed in a state of crisis. However, millions of people across the world adapted to new conditions. We became experts at zoom, skype, and facetime. We learned how to cook more than we had ever before. And yes, we did binge numerous shows on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and Disney Plus. However, in Mandarin the word for crisis also means opportunity. Here at Sew Special, we took this crisis as an opportunity to help others. We began by assisting health care professionals to acquire PPEs. Then we began helping people find affordable gym equipment so they could be healthy from the comfort of their homes. This is why we have launched You’re Special. Not only are we offering affordable prices for luxury and artisan goods, we’re here to help you build a lifestyle of health, happiness, and sustainability. When you shop with us you don’t have to be a millionaire to achieve comfort and luxury. We’re more than a company, we are a family here to help others and make the world a better place. The beginning of your journey is just a click away!

Jimmy and I began our journey, heading towards Timbers Bachelor Gulch, amidst a blizzard sweeping the country. Jimmy loves driving in the snow. My mother was the main person concerned about our trip. She asked us to text her when we entered a new state. We listened to podcasts and classic rock while driving through the storm and watched the amazing landscapes our country has to offer as we gazed out of our window. Driving across the midwestern highways, viewing roads, forests, and farmland covered in the snow reminded me of both the obstacles and beauty life presents for us. In 1969, when I was 12 years old, my family and I drove across the country. Despite all the tribulations and changes we have experienced, America still remains as awe-inspiring as I remembered it from my childhood. From the quaint farms of Kansas to the majesty of the Rockies, our land has remained as diverse and alluring as it had ever been.
Finally, after two days of driving, we arrived at Bachelor Gulch. My time at the Timbers Resorts always provides me with amazing comfort and a quality experience. No matter which Timbers you visit, it will be a spectacular vacation. Staying at Timbers Bachelor Gulch was no different. Nestled in the imposing landscape of Beaver Creek, Colorado, I could not have asked for a more alluring place to vacation. Not only was I fully immersed in the tranquility that the mountains had to offer, but the Timbers Resort provided me with the perfect combination of relaxation, warmth, and luxury. Bachelor Gulch uniquely possesses the sense of a warm home and the elegance of a resort.
We could not have chosen a better place to go skiing. For me, skiing is one of the most relaxing and enriching activities. Becoming fully in tune with the movements of my body, as I maneuver through the fresh corduroy of the slopes is how I find a sense of peace and reward I can seldom find anywhere else. Who would have thought at 64 years old skiing would bring me so much joy? Beaver Creek has become my favorite place to go. Feeling the cool mountain air hit my cheeks as I shush down the mountains. Looking up at the azure blue skies. It is a kind of place to go skiing. Beaver Creek offers a great variety of slopes great for anyone. Whether you are skiing for the first time or a seasoned veteran you will have a blast on the mountain.
Skiing of course wasn’t the only luxury Timbers had to offer. The lodge was great to stay in. Jimmy and I loved the fully stocked kitchen of our condo. It had all the kitchen essentials Jimmy and I needed to have a delicious home-cooked meal. It was stocked with many of the high-quality brands that I use and sell at You’re Special. All-Clad pots and pans, to sauté, fry eggs, and bake. It was easy to whip up my linguine and white clams sauce, guacamole, taco night, etc, and not have to leave our deluxe condo after our full days of skiing. It had everything I needed to make me feel like a Culinary Princess. They also had the Tervis Tumbler cups that Jimmy loves. It’s a double-layered insulated glass great for keeping your tea, coffee, and hot chocolate warm and your whiskey cold. Timbers had everything we needed to enjoy our lodge in taste, comfort, and style.
Another reason I love skiing at Beaver Creek is that they always have a warm cup of hot chocolate when you get off the lift. They also have my favorite chocolate chip cookies at the bottom when I’m done skiing for the day! They did not disappoint during the pandemic. They did an amazing job by having the hot chocolate in a safe carafe and the delicious cookies individually wrapped so we could enjoy them on our lovely balcony overlooking the slopes.
Timbers also have an amazing staff. Their staff is one of the most accommodating and personable groups of people I’ve ever worked with. Whenever we had a question about the room or needed directions somewhere they were always perfectly equipped with help and directions. They were just so friendly and easy to talk to. I didn’t feel like they were regular service industry employees working a 9-5. Instead, they felt more like friendly experts with control and poise of every aspect of the resort.
Overall the Timbers Resort of Bachelor Gulch was nothing less than fantastic. It had everything I needed to maintain that healthy and happy lifestyle I love. Skiing, Cooking, and just taking a step back to relax are all a part of the lifestyle and vision we at You’re Special are striving to build and share with the world. Timbers have all the tools you need to begin your journey of achieving health and happiness. Unpack, relax, and get ready for many more trips in store for a Happy, Healthy Lifestyle!
